The Greater New Orleans Funders Network Action Tables are where members join forces to learn, strategize, and fund bold, equity-driven solutions. Co-led by members and guided by community members, Action Tables turn shared values and knowledge into collective funding that strengthens communities across Southeast Louisiana.
Current Action Tables
We aim to be as responsive as possible to current events and needs in Southeast Louisiana. That’s why our members work together to lead Action Tables, create new tables, and choose which tables to participate in to develop their knowledge and pursue collective investment strategies.
Climate Justice
The Climate Justice Action Table brings together funders committed to supporting and empowering the communities most affected by environmental and climate injustice. The Table believes that philanthropy has a vital role to play in ensuring that public, private, and philanthropic sector resources translate into meaningful, community-led progress on issues impacting the neighborhoods and residents of Southeast Louisiana.
Black Men & Boys
The Black Men & Boys Action Table envisions a prosperous Greater New Orleans where the richness, strengths, and contributions of Black men and boys are valued and all members of society are represented fairly.
Criminal Justice
This Action Table brings together partners to explore cross-sector strategies to reduce the overrepresentation of children, people of color, those with mental illness, and low-income individuals in the justice system; ensure fair and humane treatment for all; and support successful reentry for people returning from incarceration.
Education
The Education Action Table focuses on affecting positive system-level change through advocacy and power building, equipping and inspiring young people to realize their full potential. The Table aims to tackle the historical effects of underinvestment, while fostering the healthy, long-term development of young people in the Greater New Orleans region. The group believes in the power of philanthropy to catalyze change and that through aligned investments and collective action, it can ensure Southeast Louisiana communities have the cultural, political, and social power to influence decisions that shape their lives.
Equitable Development
The Equitable Development Action Table brings together cross-sector partners to advance strategies that promote inclusive development and expand economic opportunity across the Greater New Orleans region. The Table focuses on addressing displacement and inequitable resource distribution while identifying opportunities that strengthen neighborhood-level economic mobility and create sustainable pathways to prosperity.
Health
The Health Action Table brings together partners to advance equitable access to quality healthcare, protect communities from environmental health risks, and address the root causes of health disparities, especially those impacting marginalized communities across Greater New Orleans.
